Laura Begley Bloom is the founder of Begley Bloom Media, a content-strategy agency that works with media, travel, and luxury lifestyle brands to create powerful storytelling, build audiences, and drive consumer engagement and profitability.

Media clients include Forbes, Food & Wine, CNBC, and the award-winning Family Traveller, where she is the chief content officer. Corporate clients include Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Holland America, The Shops at Columbus Circle in New York, and Lincoln Motor Company. Before launching Begley Bloom Media, Laura was the editor-in-chief of Yahoo Travel, where she oversaw all aspects of the digital magazine. Laura used her skills as a leader, content strategist, and change agent to transform Yahoo Travel into the world’s most-read travel magazine. In 2016, the North American Travel Journalists Association awarded Yahoo Travel the gold medal for top online travel magazine, under her leadership.

Prior to that, Laura was the deputy editor of Travel + Leisure, where she led a team, oversaw the brand’s coverage of worldwide travel destinations across platforms, helped steer the creative direction, and launched a multi-platform content division that — in collaboration with the marketing and sales teams — drove innovation and revenue.

Laura has also been a travel editor at Condé Nast’s Brides magazine, a reporter at Money magazine, a stringer for The New York Times, and a contributor at Wallpaper magazine. She appears regularly on television, including Good Morning America and NBC Today, and has spoken at conferences hosted by the Harvard Business School, The New York Times, and the NYU Hospitality School.

Journalism is part of Laura’s heritage: Her great great grandfather was a Civil War correspondent for the Chicago Tribune.
