What is a Satellite Media Tour?

A Satellite Media Tour is a series of back-to-back TV and radio interviews broadcast from one central location, reaching a guaranteed audience of 50 to 200 million viewers. Laura serves as the on-air host or spokesperson, sharing timely travel stories and seamlessly integrating participating brands into the segment. Formats

There are a few different formats depending on budget and scope:

  • Single-sponsor on-location SMT: Filmed on location, featuring one destination or brand exclusively across multiple national and regional outlets. You can see examples here and here.
  • Single-sponsor studio SMT: Filmed in a New York studio, with one exclusive partner. (In some cases, Laura will travel to the destination beforehand for background reporting.) You can see an example here.
  • Co-op studio SMT: Multiple partners share a themed studio segment. You can see an example here.
  • Co-op on-location SMT: Several partners in one region collaborate on an on-site shoot under a shared theme.
